In conjunction with the exhibition “Panta Rhei – For as long as the world turns", a trilogy of a book, an exhibition catalog, and a super-sized book will be published in sequence.
The first of this series is a compact book.
It features a collection of Ida’s work, as well as photographs from the past, sketches, notes, remarks, and makes up a multifaceted composition which traces the formation of this rare talent.

Eirakuya, a long-established cotton merchant in business for more than 400 years, has richly reproduced the world of Yukimasa Ida's works using tenugui as a canvas. Eirakuya's original fabric "Jyuyonsei" woven with high quality combed yarn and a special dyeing technique utilizing kata-yuzen (stencil dyeing) are used to express dozens of colors.

Eirakuya Ihei Hosotsuji Shoten
Eirakuya was an official merchant of Lord Nobunaga Oda and received the store name of "Eirakuya" and the family name of Hosotsuji. Founded in 1615 in the early Edo period, Eirakuya is the oldest cotton merchant in Japan and has continued to do business in Kyoto for more than 400 years. The innovative "art tenugui" hand towels dyed with advanced dyeing techniques and presented by the current owner, 14th Ihei Hosotsuji, have also attracted much attention.

A traditional Kyoto-style folding fan made of karaki-dyed bamboo and an 18-strand frame is boldly decorated with a silkscreen print of Yukimasa Ida's work <>. Please enjoy this "portable art" piece as a way to spice up your fashion.

Miyawaki Baisenan

Kyoto folding fan specialty store established in 1823. It has a strong connection with Japanese art, and the store name "Baisenan" was named by the Japanese painter Tessai Tomioka. The ceiling paintings of the store's interior, painted by the master painters of the Kyoto art world, including Seiho Takeuchi, Sekka Kamisaka, and the other four greats, are also a highlight of the store. The company still maintains the traditional division of labor, manufacturing and selling fans for a wide variety of uses, from daily use to tea ceremony, dance, and Shinto rituals. The company is also actively pursuing new forms of expression, such as collaborations with famous brands and fans that combine lacquered maki-e lacquerware and diamonds.

The T-shirt is a collaboration item with UNIversal FORM, a company that Ida himself loves and uses because of its ethical and functional style. The key visual work for this exhibition, <>, is printed on the front using a colorful inkjet print. The fabric is organic cotton, which takes into consideration the cultivation environment and safety of workers.

A brand based on the concept of "uniform" launched by stylist Tatsuhiko Marumoto, who has worked on costumes for Arashi, ONE OK ROCK, and others.
